RFUANZ Industry Training, Level 3 Electrotechnology
The Training program that has long been promised by RFUANZ is nearing fruition. The long-winded setting up of the Training program through Skills NZ has been completed and registered as a program.

Skills do not undertake any training so in order to allow access to Government Funding for Training, it has been passed on to Manakau Institute of Technology ( MIT ) to host the course. Presently MIT is setting the course within their framework, once completed, it will then be handed over to ETEC to run the course. We are looking at candidates being contacted by ETEC within the next 2 to 4 weeks so they can get the course underway.

This is the Level 3 Electrotechnology program with the Level 4 program probably becoming available in 18 months. Level 4 is more equivalent to the old Technicians Training program and will go into much more detail.  The courses are made up of "Credits" and some of these from Level 3 can be carried into Level 4.
