RFUANZ has frequent meetings with the Radio Spectrum Management unit from the Ministery of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) to discuss matters relating to spectrum access, spectrum availability and cost.
The ministry also regularly publishes documents for feedback and RFUANZ will review and respond to protect the interests of our members.

Re-engineered spectrum: options for 174-230 MHz
VHF Band III between 174–230 MHz is currently unallocated due to the end of analogue television broadcasting.
Radio Spectrum Management (RSM) is seeking views from industry on potential future uses for this spectrum, inviting interested parties to comment on the content of a public consultation document.
RFUANZ is discussing access to the 174-230MHz band with RSM and will make a submission by the due date, which is Friday 27 May 2016.
If you want to provide input to RFUANZ for their submission, please send this to firstname.lastname@example.org or any of the committee members.
Review of the License Fee Framework
Late 2015, the ministry released a discussion document about the License fee review.

Overall RFUANZ believed that the document issued by the Ministry was a well balanced view of the current situation and the proposals for fee amendments addressed some of the concerns raised by RFUANZ previously.
RFUANZ has submitted a response to the Ministry.
